He graduated in University of the Philippines where he obtained his degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine. On the following year, he took his post graduate study on Public Health and took his degree in Masters of Public Health (MPH) at the same university. For him, research is not an easy topic to set with after taking board exams or perhaps on the near future. It does require patience and positive attitude and most of all, sufficient budget in conducting research. In his years of experience, there are four elements that must be present in conducting research: Budget, Logistics, Resources and Manpower. These were also problem arise. Anywhere in any field of dentistry you choose, there will be advantages and disadvantages that will come. For him, the prime advantage of taking Research dentistry is his evolved attitude in finding rational answers how difficult may it seems. die) is the main reason for the failure of research. Other disadvantages that he pointed out are the availability of budget and manpower. Being a dentist, researcher and at the same time, a professor are not easy tasks. He overcame his problems in his various careers by having a positive outlook in any tasks he do. Smiling problems that may arise is a simple but, a powerful way to lessen the stress he encountered. He advice future dentists that will go to research to study hard in during their undergraduate years, place a value to work they do, to have a positive outlook in any path they choose and most of all, to enjoy things in life.
