OUTBACK JACKS NATIONAL 1KG CHALLENGE WINNER!

Man Vs Jacks 1kg Challenge

OBJECTIVE: The promotion is to increase sales within the stores, get more bums on seats! And to raise over $10,000 in donations to the Salvation Army PROMOTION: Establish 1 winner of the Outback Jacks Famous 1KG Challenge Australia wide. The winner will take home the title of the fastest challenge time and a corporate package and accommodation to either the NRL or AFL Grand Final. A portion of the entry fee along with Salvation Army tin donations will be donated to The Salvation Army. HOW IT WORKS: In all stores across Australia for the month of July anyone can enter the 1KG Challenge promotion. The entry fee for this is $35.00 which is what the Challenge will be sold for during the month of July (see dates below). The objective at the end of the month is to determine the top 10 fastest Challenge winners in each store. You will receive a Challenge leader board which will be hung up in store to keep track of times and winners. At the end of the month stores will contact their top 10 fastest Challenge time winners to compete against one another to determine 1 overall winner. Dates below for Challenge night That winner will then move on to compete in the state finals.(dates below) Flights and accommodation will be arranged for each winner to travel to one nominated location in each state to compete The 6 state winners will then compete against each other in the Grand Final at the nominated location where one winner will take out the Outback Jacks 1KG Challenge Title. Flights and accommodation will be arranged for these competitors Anyone taking part in the 1kg Challenge during the month of July will pay the entry fee of $35. This entitles them to the meal itself and to attempt that stores fastest Challenge time. There is no discount given (for this month only) if they complete the challenge under the original 30 minute time frame but a t/shirt is still given. $10 of this entry fee will be donated to the Salvation Army. Top Cut will also be doing their part by discounting the 1kg rump by $3 for challenges purchased

DATES: Mid May Stores will receive Point of Sale. This is to be displayed and any radio, newspaper ads or advertising can begin and is to flow all through June for all OBJ stores across Australia 1st June to 30th June - Stores need to reach out to all businesses, sporting clubs, community organisations and people within a 5-10 km radius to encourage them to enter the competition. This can be done by personal contact, email, handing out of flyers etc. Any local sponsorships should be leveraged eg football teams encouraged to send at least 5 of their members to have a crack at the challenge etc. The ability of each store to influence their local area is paramount to the success of the promotion. 1st July to 30th July - Anyone can enter the 1kg Challenge for the month. Entry fee is $35.00 with $10 of this entry fee donated to the Salvation Army. 31st July Tuesday evening the top 10 fastest Challenge winners per store for the month will compete together to determine the overall store winner 11th August Winners of each store will move onto the state competition. Example: each QLD store winner will compete together at the designated store, Coolangatta. Each state will run this competition Saturday lunchtime 11th August where the state winner will be determined 18th August the 6 state winners (NT, WA, SA, VIC, NSW & QLD) will travel to the designated state & store to compete for the title and prize of the overall national winner. Again on a Saturday lunchtime.

GEARING UP: All OBJ stores across Australia will be canvasing their local businesses, sporting clubs and families to encourage and round up people to enter the Challenge but also help support the Salvation Army, by sponsoring an entrant or simply making a donation in store. Stores will be promoting this by using letterbox drops, radio advertising, newspaper and magazine advertising and TV advertising in some areas. Outback Jacks is aiming to get the support and sponsorship from a number of corporate companies as well as TV personalities. We are hoping to raise a lot of money and awareness of the work that the Salvation Army does for so many people as well as making this an annual event on the OBJ calendar IN STORE POS: All stores will be allocated with a standard pack of in store POS to be displayed which will be paid for by the National marketing fund, any extras required will be paid for by the franchisee. A leader board will be provided for all stores which will help create that competitive edge with the customers encouraging all new entrants to be at the top of the leader board. The leader board will resemble the Top Gear leader board, where names can be replaced with new and better times. A Nightlife video will be produced by LMG to run throughout the promotion. Wazza will also produce a radio voice over for those using radio

White Echo will be handling the social media side with Facebook and Twitter. A QR Code will also be on all POS material which will provide a promotional video on details of the promo LMG will also be producing another in house video for staff information and encouragement, outlining the process of the promotion Overall Store winner The store that brings in the most Challenge entries and raises the most money for the Salvos, Head office will throw $500 on the bar for that store. Allowing franchisees and staff to celebrate their victory!!
