POLICE kick a door and tackle SQUATTER PUNKS. NARRATOR (CONT'D) Budget cuts by the millions. Inside a COURTHOUSE, a city council meeting. A POLICE OFFICER hands his BADGE to dismissive looking MEN IN SUITS. NARRATOR (CONT'D) and Americans caught in a political game, paid for by your tax dollars. Exterior of a SUBURBAN HOME. WOMAN (CONT'D) You bastards! The Woman RUNS to her man's side. She SOBS. Mattix TURNS the man over and begins to ZIP TIE his hands. The man GASPS for air. No blood. The woman STOPS SOBBING. Laureux RESTRAINS her by one arm and PULLS her to the porch. Mattix SHUFFLES through the man's pockets removing a WALLET. His eyes WATER from the pepper round. MATTIX (coughing ) Robinson, Dwayne T, DOB January 13th, 1978. Are you Mrs. Robinson? WOMAN My name is Stacy Shatler and I wasn't doing nothing so let me go. Laureux TOSSES Mattix a TICKET PAD and gets tossed back the WALLET. LAUREUX OK Miss Shatler. According to your neighbors who called 9-1-1, Mr. Robinson was assaulting you. LAUREUX No, M'am. We're arresting Mr. Robinson on suspicion of assault. MATTIX Listen lady. We don't have all day. There is a $200 daily holding fee and a $500 fee for the 9-1-1 call. Mattix PASSES Dwayne to Laureux and WALKS towards Stacy. MATTIX (CONT'D) The sooner we get him in holding, the sooner you can get down to ACE offices, pay his fees and get home to await your court date. You want to talk it out here?
