The detailed Recommended Working Procedures for Interfine 979 should be consulted prior to use. It is recommended that when evaluating polysiloxane products that the following minimum requirements are met : Durability: This specification provides a top coat that will provide a minimum gloss retention of 80% of the original after 5000 hours of QUVA. Long Term Flexibility is an important measure of how well a coating ages. It is essential for a coating, if it is to maintain its integrity to demonstrate long term flexibility. Poor flexibility can be linked to cracking and breakdown at stress points e.g welds, edges. Test : ISO 1519 (cylindrical mandrel bend test). Polysiloxane applied to a panel and aged in an ISO12944 C5I environment for 6 months. Result - No cracking/disbondment on a 12.7 mm (1/2 inch) mandrel.
