Thank you for submitting an abstract for the ICAS 2010 Congress to be held in Nice, France from the 19th to the 24th of September, 2010. The Programme Committee has now reviewed over 700 abstracts and it

has been able to construct an excellent programme.

The programme committee had a difficult job in selecting from the many good abstracts received. With this mail we have to inform you that your abstract was among those that were recommended for a poster presentation at the congress. A common reason for this recommendation was that the paper did not fit very well into any of the sessions set up.

Consequently we are very pleased to tell you that your paper is among those accepted as Category C (see explanations on next page) and, on behalf of ICAS, we hereby invite you to present your poster paper at the ICAS 2010 Congress.

Please make a careful note of your paper ID no (received earlier and noted above). This must be quoted in all future correspondence relating to the Congress. Please note that on Tuesday 21th of September just before lunch authors will have the opportunity to make a short (3 min) promotion about their posters in the respective session tracks. Poster stations should be manned during coffee breaks.

You are encouraged to prepare a full paper for the Congress proceedings, which will be published on a CD ROM and distributed at the Congress. It is then essential that:

1/ the written version of the paper is submitted to the proceedings editor, in the prescribed format, by the 15th of June 2010

2/ one author has registered as a Congress delegate by the 15th of June 2010. If either the paper, or the registration, is received after this date, the paper will not be included in the Proceedings.

At this stage, you may find it helpful to know that an authors pack giving guidelines for the preparation of your paper will be available on the ICAS website from January 2010. The Preliminary Programme, which includes general information about the Congress, will be sent to you in February/March 2010 and this information will also be available on the website.

If any papers are withdrawn from a relevant session, Category B authors may get the opportunity to make an oral presentation. Past experience suggests that there is a good chance of this happening. You may also choose to prepare a presentation for the Poster Sessions. However, since space is limited, if you wish to take this option please inform the Secretariat as soon as possible.

This invitation is made on condition that the author notifies the ICAS Secretariat of their intention to participate in ICAS 2010 by the end of November 2009 and that one author must have completed the delegate registration process by the June 2010 deadline. A paper will only be added to the CD-Rom if it has been received, and accepted, by the ICAS Secretariat and one author has completed the delegate registration process by the June deadline. A paper that has been submitted will not be added to the CD-ROM unless one author is registered for the Congress by the June deadline. However, if an author registers after the deadline, the paper will be added to the ICAS archive after the Congress.
