manufacturing. The design is modular and compact,
however, the features are very diversified. The machine
can be equipped to meet demands of every log house
manufacturer.

modern CAD/CAM control system together with the

Automated log positioning and accurate machining
units combined with the smart raw material

Logmatic is the heart of a high capacity production
line. Depending on the customers requirements and
on the available factory space, suitable equipment for
log feeding, discharging and packaging may be
included in the final configuration.

basic machining

Corner notching is performed

in two steps with the vertical and
the horizontal milling tool units.
These units mill the notches on
all four sides of the square log
profiles. With an optional round
log milling unit corner notching
can be performed to round log
profiles as well.

The end notching unit mills a

slot at either or both ends of the
log. The width and the depth of
the slot is set by the milling tool
dimensions.

Different types of drillings are

performed by the moving upper
and lower drill units. Fast and
accurate movements of the drill
units are achieved by linear servo
motors. The optimization software
takes care that as many as
possible of the drill units work
simultaneously which is essential
for achieving a high capacity.
Drilling

The cross cutting saw cuts the

logs to exact lengths. The
optimization software enables for
processing from one long log
blank multiple shorter logs which
are then separated by this saw.
The saw is equipped with smart
side pushers which also remove
the waste from the saw table.

Angular cross cutting

Logmatic is designed for processing logs with

high capacity. Therefore some machining that
are few in number, are excluded from the
Logmatic machining centre itself. For example,
angular cross cutting and slitting are performed
by a separate saw unit which is integrated to
the Logmatic line.
