Alcohol=Muscle Loss?

Sarcopenia is the loss of muscle tissue that occurs as a natural part of the aging process. But how fast and how much muscle is lost may increase as a result of alcohol consumption, according to a new study conducted at Korea University College of Medicine in Seoul. Typical muscle loss occurs at an average rate of 6 percent per decade in postmenopausal women, but drinking alcohol accelerated sarcopenia in women who were moderate to heavy drinkers.
