Environmental Science - Global Warming

I have done some calculations about the amount of energy lost through the transfer of energy from one state to another. The write ups of these analysis are the basis of this collection although I don't rule out doing more work in the area over time. *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** Technical note: Thermodynamics is one of the few theories of science which has a certainty so high that the rules are frequently called laws ("In this house we obey the laws of thermodynamics" - Hommer Simpson to Lisa Simpson). The amount of certainty is such that the US Patent department, a group who famously accepts patents on some of the most retarded things, stoped accepting applications for perpetual motion machines in something like 1920 if not earlier. These machines, as referenced in that famous Simpsons eppisode, breach one of the laws of thermodynamics which states that perfect energy transfer is impossible. *** *** *** Since perfect energy transfer is impossible there must be some waste every time it is transfered. This waste is commonly in the form of heat. That's why a car engine is hot. It changes chemical energy in gasoline into mechanical energy of spinning wheels inefficiently. How in efficiently? Check out the papers.
