Description
Andrew Heisel visits The Context of White Supremacy. Mr. Heisel resides in New Haven, Connecticut and is a freelance writer. His work has been published on Slate, Vice Sports, LA Review of Books, and The Washington Post. We'll explore his recent essay: The Last Two Minutes of NBA Games: A History of Racism, Money, and Boredom. He submits that the adage that one only need witness the final two minutes of a basketball contest is a codified way of transmitting Racist concepts. White animosity towards black people in general and black athletes in particular has generated extensive study. The proliferation of black NBA icons caused many White fans to produce (fabricate) any justification for "White flight" from the hardwood. We'll see if this is connected to White dislike of LeBron James and the looming prizefight between Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.
