2 Corinthians 9:7-15
7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written:

10 Now

may[b] He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. 12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God,

13 while,

through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, 14 and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you. 15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Rest and Warfare

For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Heb.4:10
Mans first day was Gods 7th day God never gave Adam instructions in warfare

 Man was designed to live IN the presence of God and stand before HIMnot the devil. The REAL problem of sin:
Ro.3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Sinto miss the mark

 We are writing about the Word of Life [in] Him Who existed from the beginning, Whom we have heard, Whom we have seen with our [own] eyes, Whom we have gazed upon [for ourselves] and have touched with our [own] hands. And the Life [an aspect of His being] was revealed (made manifest, demonstrated), and we saw [as eyewitnesses] and are testifying to and declare to you the Life, the eternal Life [in Him] Who already existed with the Father and Who [actually] was made visible (was revealed) to us [His followers].

 What we have seen and [ourselves] heard, we are also telling you, so that you too may realize and enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers with us. And [this] fellowship that we have [which is a distinguishing mark of Christians] is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Our distinguishing mark is NOT our brand

 And we are now writing these things to you so that our joy [in seeing you included] may be full [and [f]your joy may be complete]. And this is the message [the message of promise] which we have heard from Him and now are reporting to you: God is Light, and there is no darkness in Him at all [no, not in any way].

 [So] if we say we are partakers together and enjoy fellowship with Him when we live and move and are walking about in darkness, we are [both] speaking falsely and do not live and practice the Truth [which the Gospel presents]. But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].

 If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude and lead ourselves astray, and the Truth [which the Gospel presents] is not in us [does not dwell in our hearts]. If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action

 Jesus came on a MISSION:

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10

 What man LOST in a garden through sin. Jesus would take back in another garden through obedience and death.
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her Offspring; He will bruise and tread your head underfoot, and you will lie in wait and bruise His heel. Gen.3:15

 The battle for man had to become a battle WITH man. Satan is no match for God. What God did was unusual:
Sent Jesus who AS A MAN displayed complete authority over power of darkness Allowed Him to DIE in ultimate weakness in order that we might LIVE in ultimate strength! For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Cor.5:21

 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 1Cor.2:6-8

 1. The things that have been in charge(rulers) are PASSING away! 2. Gods wisdom is a mysterysomething hid NOT from us but FOR us! 3. The purpose of this hiddennow manifest wisdom is for OUR glory! 4. The key to understanding this mystery and realizing its power is in the CROSS!

 Jesus not only died FOR us, He died AS us. See John 19:41; 20:1, 11-17 Who was the first to touch Him in His natural birth? MaryHis mother. Who was the first to touch Him after His SECOND birth? Mary Magdelineprostitute!
