BSSD / CAHWF Partnership History


CAHWF

provided funding for 8 years for an elementary after school activity program impacting 120 students per year. CAHWF provides funding to support our staff wellness initiatives.

Wellness @ Work

Grant Initiative: Improving Youth Nutrition and Activity


Through

grant funding, create a positive and lasting impact on the nutrition and activity levels among youth in the CAHWF service area. Grant Initiative: Fall 2011

Lasting Benefits
Curricular

enhancements to Health and PE for grades K-8 Structured recess activities for grades K-5. Structured framework for communication from Coordinated School Health Council and alignment of multiple initiatives.

Moving Forward
Grant

initiative continues through the school year next year.


Curriculum development, professional development and additional equipment purchases will be completed over the summer and Fall of 2012.

the Initiative

Due to the structure of the grant initiative and proposal, the bulk of the costs are one time expenses.
