McDonalds started its research about Indian market and supply chain in 1989 & Launched in India in 1965. 50:50 partnership between McDonalds U.S.A and two Indian Partners Hard castle Restaurants Private Limited in western India. Connaught Plaza Restaurants Private Limited in northern India.

Supply chain management of McDonalds

Infused Rs 400 Crore to set up its delivery mechanism. Unique concept of cold chain was brought in India. Working on its supply chain even before it opened its first joint in the country. Developed and maintain good relationship with Indian partners. Potato Farming in Gujarat Local sourcing adherence to Indian Government regulations on food.

Dynamix Dairy Industries (Supplier of Cheese)

Benefits to farmers in Baramati, Maharashtra. Fully automatic international standard processing facility. Capability to convert milk into cheese, and other high quality milk product. Stringent quality control measures rejected on the spot if found adulterated.

Trikaya Agriculture (Supplier of Iceberg Lettuce)

Lettuce is cultivated throughout the year. McDonalds provide assistance in the selection of high quality seeds and advanced drip-irrigation technology. Develop a refrigerated transportation system. Vegetables are moved into the pre-cooling room within half an hour of harvesting.(Cold Chain). These fresh vegetables were also exported.

Radhakrishna Foodland
It is operating as a Distribution Centers for Delhi and Mumbai. It is handling all distribution management services. All items are supplied to McDonalds restaurant from here. These items are collected from other supply networks and stored at cold chain.

Vista Process Foods Pvt. Ltd. Supplier of Chicken and Vegetable Products
Joint venture with OSI Industries Inc., USA, and McDonald's India Pvt. Ltd., Vista Processed Foods Pvt. Ltd, Taloja. Separate processing lines for chicken and vegetable foods (shower room) Capability to maintain frozen foods at temperature as low as -35 degree Celsius to retain freshness.

Amrit Food
Supplier of long life UHT Milk and Milk Products for Frozen Desserts to McDonalds. (UHT-Ultra High Temperature) Manufactures widely popular brands - Gagan Milk and Nandan Ghee at its factory at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. State-of-the-art fully automatic machinery which did not require human contact to products. Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) is a systematic approach to food safety.
