What a fantastic camp we had last week Isnt it great to get away from school and do something different.

. Of course we cant do camp with out loads of help, and a big part of our CCC culture is to say THANK YOU. This power point has a couple of things to think about as we think about how we can most appropriate way of saying thank you.

So that you know, right from the beginning of this task this is a Rainbows end Task It must be completed to the highest standard, within the time limits, if you are going to be able to join us for our fun day!!

Tasks:
Your task is to create Thank you letters for those people/places involved in making Rm 13/`4 camp a success. You must complete the following requirements, but you may also do more if you wish. Task 1: You must write one Formal letter to the parent who provided transport for you. This letter must include: -formal presentation -Hand written (drafted in your lit book) -At least 4 paragraphs you may select the order, but remember each paragraph is a new idea I suggest: P1 purpose of letter, P2 specific thing you are thanking the parent for and why it made a difference to camp P3 your highlight from camp, explaining why, P4 summarising the camp and reiterating your thank you. Task 2: You must complete 4 thank you notes. These are completed the pre-cut paper and are a less formal note. They still need to express why you are saying thank you and a highlight for you. They need to be colourful (perhaps a boarder or drawing) but VERY neat. If you do not enjoy design then RULE your boarder in colour DO NOT scribble colour.

Things I need to check for in my writing: - Success Criteria for Level 4 A range of different sentences (simple, compound and complex) Different sentence beginnings Paragraphs that are linked Rich vocab Language features if appropriate for the style of writing Awareness of audience Appropriate structure for the purpose Logical sequence of ideas Development of ideas (have I provided the reader sufficient information to understanding?)

Success Criteria for Formal Letter Writing: The letter is addressed to the intended person, and the purpose of the letter is stated at or near the beginning. The information presented is accurate, clear, relevant, and ordered in a sequence which fits the context. Information is presented so that the content, vocabulary, and tone fit the context, subject matter, and audience. Punctuation is accurate in terms of fullstops, capital letters, and commas. Spelling is accurate. A formal letter format is followed, and the form of address used fits the context and the relationship between writer and receiver. See model letter
