Research comes from two words, RE and SEARCH. RE- it means REPEAT or REDO and the root word SEARCH, it means TO FIND OR LOOK FOR.

Its DEFINITION
As Defined Research is a systematic, objective and comprehensive investigation of a certain phenomenon which involves accurate gathering, recording, and critical analyzing and interpreting of all facts about the phenomenon. It is also a method of inquiry for the purpose of obtaining facts in response to questions raised.

A problem is defined by:
Murdick (1969) says that a problem is a felt need Sekaran (1992) characterizes a research problem as a situation where a gap exists between the actual and the desired ideal state Gay and Diehi (1992), however, describe the research problem as a hypothesis or question of interest to business people and managers that can be tested or answered through the collection and analysis of data.

Topic should be relatively new or has not been done before The researcher must possess technical and conceptual competence to conduct the study Needed data can be acquired to answer the problem Research goals are achievable within the given timeframe. Access to funds, facilities, computer technology, and human resources exist for one to undertake the study. Findings could comprise a valuable contribution to the field.
