ADJECTIVES & ITS KINDS

STEP-1 PRESENTATION

:The Pupil Teacher will give examples and make students familiar with certain examples of Adjectives. EXAMPLES : These are beautiful flowers. She is a Sweet girl.

STEP-2: MEANING OF ADJECTIVE

An Adjective is a word that describes or qualifies Nouns and Pronouns.

STEP-3: TYPES OF ADJECTIVES


There are five kinds of Adjectives.
ADJECTIVES OF QUALITY ADJECTIVES OF NUMBER ADJECTIVES OF QUANTITY

STEP-4 ADJECTIVE OF QUALITY

An Adjective of Qualityis a word that tells what kind of a person, place or thing is. For Example poor, nice, intelligent, great ,white, rich etc.

STEP-5 ADJECTIVE OF QUANTITY


An Adjective of Quantity tells us how much.
For Example much,few,some,any,little,all etc.

There are some flowers in the pot.

STEP-6 ADJECTIVES OF NUMBER


It tells us how many things are meant.
FOR EXAMPLE: Many,Second,one,few,two etc.

STEP-7 DEMONSTRATIVE OBJECTIVES


A word that points out or demonstrates a noun is called demonstrative adjective. FOR EXAMPLE: This, that, these, those, such etc.

STEP-8 INTERROGATIVE ADJECTIVE


Interrogative pronoun followed by a noun is called Interrogative Adjective. Examples: Whose, what etc.
