INTRODUCTION
The concept of nanotechnology encompasses the fields of science and technology in which we study, obtained and / or handled in a controlled materials, substances and devices of very small size, generally less than one micron, ie at nanometer. The field of nanotechnology also includes areas of knowledge related to their origin, both of physics, chemistry, engineering or robotics, the reason for such interest is not surprising. Nanotechnology has the potential to change everything: drugs and surgery, computing power, energy supplies, food, vehicles, building construction techniques and the manufacture of textiles. Many more things or imagine. .

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT
Definition of Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology involves the study, design, creation, synthesis, manipulation and application of materials, devices and systems through the control function of matter at the nanoscale, and exploitation of phenomena and properties of matter at the nanoscale. When handling the matter so minuscule scale, nanotechnology is used to create materials, devices and innovative and inexpensive systems with unique properties. Nanotechnology encompasses mainly fields as physical science, chemistry and robotics.

HISTORY

The winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965, Richard Feynman, was the first reference to the possibilities of nanoscience and nanotechnology in the famous speech he gave at the California Institute of Technology on December 29, 1959, entitled In the background no room to spare. Today medicine is more interested in research in the microscopic world, since it may include structural alterations that cause disease, and to say no branch of medicine that have emerged as the main beneficiaries microbiology, immunology, physiology. So far most of the applications of nanotechnology have been developed in the fields of electronics, automation, or pharmacy and medicine.

Tips of Nanotechnology

1) Top-down: Literally from the top (largest) to bottom (low). The mechanisms and structures are miniaturized to the nanoscale. 2) Bottom-Up: Auto assemblies. Literally from below (low) to the top (high). It begins with a nanoscale structure as a molecule and through a process of self-assembly or assembly, establishing a mechanism greater than the mechanism with which we

Fields affected by Nanotechnology

The key feature is that nanotechnology is interdisciplinary assemblies of various fields of natural sciences that are highly specialized fields most affected by nanotechnology are: 1) Materials: New materials, tougher, more durable and resistant, lighter and cheaper. 2) Electronics: The electronics will become smaller and smaller, which will facilitate the design of more powerful computers. 3) Energy: Expected a large increase in the potential for solar power generation.

For example, they may be placed in a nanoscopic probes to measure our health the clock.

Nanotechnology Applications
1)

Future Applications:

Nano-tubes and membranes. Nano-tubes are the hardest material known, being from 10 to 100 times stronger than steel per unit weight. Vehicle transmission. Nano-particles and nanoencapsulation areas allow a better and more efficient than broadcasting the traditional encapsulation. Its power is such that could be used even for treatment of food allergies.
Nano-tools for biosecurity. May allow the development of biosensors to detect biological agents as anthrax or tuberculosis in the food chain in a reliable and effective.

Actually Applications

Nanotechnology applied to food packaging: the application is additivated with nanoclays materials that improve the mechanical, thermal, gas barrier, processes incorporation of nanoparticles can be made by extrusion or by coating.

Biosensors for detection of biological agents

CONCLUSIONS

This paper we present the conceptualization of nanotechnology as the science that studies the unique properties of tiny particles that are measured on the scale of nanometers (millionths of a millimeter). It described a small review of the theme; nanotechnology was classified into two types: Top-Down and Bottom up. It was known fields of application of this science and unveiled some applications on current and future nanotechnology.
