e-Learning National Project -Objectives


Create a diversified e-Learning environment afford for learning anytime anywhere. Stimulate market demands to expand the economic scale of eLeaning industry. Shape an environment favorable for e-Learning under policy guidance. Taiwan turns into an R&D center for e-Learning soft/hardware in global Chinese community. Taiwan becomes a global R&D powerhouse of e-Learningrelated technology. Better equip the general public for a digital era in order to improve national competitiveness.

This track aims at narrowing the difference generated from the inequality of absorption of information and knowledge, and utilization of techniques.

Participants Contents and Outcomes Train the workforce through e-Learning. Construct an e-Learning demonstration model for the workforce. Plan the mechanisms for narrowing the workplace digital divide and establish such a demonstration model.

Establish related demonstration models, including learning models for schools of physically and psychologically rehabilitant and schools in remote areas. Cultivate potential professionals of managers and instructors of e-Learning in educational units.

Finance the support for academic research on open source codes, platforms, contents, authoring tools, and standards. Conduct R&D on advanced e-Learning systems and learning materials in 5 years. Study e-Learning related technologies needed within 3 years. Develop mobile learning devices. Conduct research on learning and cognition in e-Learning. Promote e-Learning within industrial enterprises. Construct the Network science park for e-Learning, and perform each operation mechanism in the science park. Cultivate professionals in the e-Learning industry.

Participants CCA Contents and Outcomes Plan and construct the e-Learning mechanisms for database on literature and art information. Initiate e-Learning courses on culture and creation.
