Child rights
Universal- everyone has the same rights- all need food, education etc Intrinsic- rights belong to you(CHILD), they are inside of you, no matter what circumstances you are in- whether you live in an apartment or a house or in a hut, you have the same rights. Essential- no one can/should have to do without rights. Our rights help us live full lives. Interrelated to each other- e.g. right to food is related to education. The more educated you are the better your chances of earning enough to always have plenty of food. Linked to responsibilities- adults are responsible for children our rights- our parents, neighbors, relatives, society, government, etc giving
In India there are many children who do not get their rights
Half of Indias children who are old enough to, do not go to school.
There are millions of children in India who are forced to go to work instead of school.
Child labour
Child labour refers to the employment of children in any work that deprives children of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend regular school, and that is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and harmful

In 1998, between 5,000 and 7,000 Nepalese girls, some barely 910 years old were trafficked into the red light districts in Indian cities, and 200,000 to over 250,000 Nepalese women and girls were already in Indian brothels.[3] According to UNICEF, 12.6 million children are engaged in hazardous occupations.[4] In 2009, it was estimated 1.2 million children are trafficked worldwide for sexual exploitation, including for prostitution or the production of sexually abusive images[2] Only 10% of human trafficking in India is international, while almost 90% is interstate. Nearly 40,000 children are abducted every year of which 11000 remain untraced according to a report by the National Human Rights Commission of India.[5
