The purpose of this procedure is to specify the sequence in implementing construction drawing AS BUILT (AB) during the performance

of the work.
To define the areas of responsibility in the execution of the procedure which starts from the field operation and ends at the point of acceptance by the Costumer. The procedure also defines the steps involved to arrive at an acceptable AB drawings. This system procedure provides an easy to follow and uniform guide in performing this specific requirement of a contract.

This document details the incorporation of red-line marking on construction drawings, carried out in the field, by the respective field operation disciplines. This procedure covers completed plant facilities, piping system and structures and includes drawings for civil, mechanical, piping, electrical & instrumentation works together with the final preparation and submission of AS-BUILT drawings by MMG Engineering Department in accordance to the requirement of the contract. The scope covers the Onshore and Offshore construction Division including Marine Division.

DEFINITIONS
AS BUILT (AB) Drawings Represents the actual built-up condition of the completed plant facilities, and/or piping system.

MARKED UP
Is defined in this procedure as the red-lined mark-ups or marking in red lines reflected in the drawing representing the As-Built condition of the plant facilities, piping/electrical system or structure. REFERENCES EN ISO 9002 : 1994

MECHANICAL & PIPING SUPERINTENDENT Responsible for the marking of Red-Lined mark ups on drawings for Mechanical and piping IFC of completed plant facilities and/or piping works. ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION SUPERINTENDENT Responsible for the marking of Red-Lined mark-ups on drawings for Electrical IFC drawings of completed electrical plant facilities. CIVIL & STRUCTURAL SUPERINTENDENT Responsible for the markings of Red-Lined mark-ups on drawings for Civil & Structural IFC drawings of completed civil & structural works.

(continuation) FIELD ENGINEERING MANAGER SUPERINTENDENT OR ENGINEERING HEAD Prepares final marked-up AS=BUILT drawings and submits to the Costumer Representative for approval and acceptance through the Project Manager.

Prepares the final AS_BUILT drawings On-Site : Field Engineering using manual or CAD Home Office Engineering using manual or CAD

Field operation of respective discipline directly involved in the work maintain in their possession at the worksite one set of Red-Lined marked-up drawing which incorporate all of the changes and/or reflect the as-is condition of the current As-Built status of the erected facilities. The same drawing copy is forwarded by field operation to Field Engineering. Field Engineering prepares the final As-Built drawings. Upon completion of the work or part of the facility. Engineering submits two (2) copies of the Red-Lined As-Built drawings to the Costumer Representatives for approval through the Project Manager. In the As-Built drawing, a space is provided for the signature of the Field Engineering Manager & Project Manager and the Costumer Representatives. If the Costumer Representative has any comments on the submitted As-Built drawing, one (1) copy of the drawing is returned to MMG. The returned copy bearing comments of the Costumer Representative, will either be signed as Approved or subject to correction as per the comments noted.

Drawings returned for correction are revised per comments, then submitted for approval in duplicate. These steps are repeated as required until one (1) copy is returned to MMG bearing the Costumer Representative approval stamp APPROVED
Field Engineering shall record in the Project As-Built Documentation Control Log (Form No.END-4-002B) all completed Red-Lined MarkedUp drawings and submittals of As-Built drawings for approval and acceptance. Upon completion or prior to signing-off of any facilities, the approved Red-Lined mark-up As-Built drawings together with additional copies as specified in the contract (usually two or more copies) is submitted to the Costumer Representative in accordance ith the contract requirements. PROCEDURE FOR PROJECT AS BUILT DOCUMENTATION Field Engineering shall provide Field Operation with all current issue of construction drawings for use in the execution of the construction works as controlled documents.

Field Operations respective discipline directly involved in the execution of the work shall maintain in their possession at the worksite one (1) set of Red-Lined marked-up drawing, which incorporates all of the changes and/or reflects the as-is condition of the current As-Built status of the erected facilities or piping system.
Field Operation forward the same Red-Lined marked-up drawings to Field Engineering for reference in the preparation of final RedLined As Built Drawing copy. Upon completion of the work or part of the facility or piping system, Engineering shall submit required copies of the Red-Lined As Built drawings to Costumer Representative for review , comments and/or approval.

(continuation) If the Costumer representative has any comments on the submitted As-Built drawings, the drawing is returned to MMG. The returned copy bearing the comments of the Costumer Representative will either be signed as APPROVED or subject to correction as noted in the comments.

Field Engineering shall record in the Project As-Built Documentation Control Log Form No. END-4-002B all completed / approved Red-Lined marked-up drawings. Upon Mechanical Completion or prior to signing-off of any completed facilities, the approved Red-Lined marked-up As-Built drawings including copies, additional copies as required in the contract (usually two (2) or more copies) re submitted to the Costumer Representative in compliance with the Contract Requirement.
