Listening test

Time : 35 minutes Scores: 20/100 Part 1: 5 Questions (10 points): + Listen to 5 short conversations and tick the correct picture + Listen to 5 long conversations and choose True/False (Yes/No) according to the content of the listening + Listen to a monologue and tick five objects or events. Part 2: 10 questions (10 points) + Listen to a conversation or a monologue, fill in 10 gaps containing important information. Candidates have 5 minutes to listen to the instructions, then listen to the recording twice and answer the questions while listening Daily life topics or issues

Scores: 20/100 Candidates choose 1 topic of the 14 topics about: Yourself, House and family, health and healthcare, education, shopping, food and drink, Environment, daily life, entertainment, leisure activity, traveling, relationship, Health and healthcare, education, shopping, food and drinks, services, languages, weather. Each candidate has 5-7 minutes to prepare before answering Part 1: (2-3 minutes): Candidates are asked questions about personal information to know their communication ability in English Part 2: (5 minutes) Candidates talk about the selected topic clearly introducing the topic, developing the ideas and concluding the talk with a wide range of connectives. Part 3: (3-5 minutes) Examiners and candidates have a further discussion about the topic presented in part 2. Candidates should present their personal feelings and defend their viewpoints.

1. B Can I get him five minutes earlier today at a quarter to two? 2. B After break were going to see a play performed by some Year 10 students. That should finish by 11.15. Well do Maths then. I know we normally do sports at 11 but well have to do that tomorrow instead. 3. A The balls are really cheap and I can lend you my brothers bat. Youll have to get some good trainers, though. Ive already got some. 4. C Our teacher looked it up on the Internet and it says itll be dry but cloudy.
