Capacity Requirement Analysis

Based on the number of CEs / Carriers / NodeBs defined in 4th round RFP, we conclude that the network capacity cannot support the total number of subscribers from the 3rd year onwards.
For example, Year 3, Subscriber number is about 27 times bigger than Year 1, however, the CE quantity in 4th RFP only increased about 2 times.

Number of CEs has strong correlation with number of Subscribers supported.

Overall CEs Statistics & Analysis

1. More channel elements will be consumed in the uplink for same radio bearer.
For uplink demodulation, the multi-path signal processing and combination are more complex than downlink modulation and coding processing.

2. Huawei dont consider any reservation for CE in Downlink. 3. In normal cases, number of CEs in Uplink will little more than downlink. 4.In later years, PS services traffic accumulated to exceed the CE consumption of CS services peak traffic in downlink, number of CEs in Downlink will little more than Uplink.
