Step -1 (Inspection Request)
Preliminary Step for issue of MDCC is Inspection Request by vendor dully signed by the authorized signatory of vendor On Receipt of Inspection Request TPL to Coordinate with TPC for Fixing up inspection. Vendor to raise the Inspection call at least 7 days before Inspection For offshore item it should be minimum before 30 days

Step -2 (Inspection Report)
After Inspection request is raised by vendor, TPL (TPC if necessary ) will visit the Work Shop to inspect the material along with Approved MQP (Manufacturing Quality Plan). Inspector to issue Inspection report and non conformity report (If any ) in the approved format. If material is kept on hold by the inspector, vendor should re offer for inspection after correcting the Nonconformity. This process to be re iterated till material is accepted as per approved MQP

Step -3 (Inspection Release Note)
For Category A & B Items TPL (Quality ) to send IR (Inspection Report ) and all back up documents to TPC (Quality) for their review , approval and issue of IRN ( Inspection Release Note). For Category C & D Items if Material is accepted , inspection report IRN to be issued by TPL Quality . Same shall be reviewed and issued by TPL (Quality) to TATA Power (Project Head).

Step -4 (Clearance Certificate)
On Receipt of IRN From TPL (Quality ) and TPC ( Quality) Tata Power Project Head to issue Clearance Certificate To TPL Project head for dispatch of material.

Step -5 (MDCC to Vendor)
TPL to issue MDCC to vendor for dispatch of material.

Step -6 (Request for Way bill)
On Receipt of MDCC from TPL ,vendor to request for Way bill with certain details for issue of way bill. A Copy of MDCC to be attached by the vendor along with the request for Way bill.

Step -7 (Issue of Way bill)
TPC to Issue way bill based on details submitted by vendor. Vendor to dispatch Material as per MDCC and raise invoice as per dispatch instructions and forward all the documents as per check list.
