Kingfisher Submits Revival Plan to DGCA

DGCA suspended its permit on October 20th. DGCA officials said, to renew the suspension of its Standard Operating Permit they have to submit a comprehensive Financial and Operational Plan.

Kingfisher Airlines has failed to present a clear funding plan under a proposal to fly again. Airlines was suspended in October due to unpaid debts and salaries. All stakeholders needed to be convinced the relaunch plan before the DGCA allowed the airline to fly again.

Abu Dhabi based aviation company Etihad might announce an investment in an Indian airline. They would invest either in Jet or Kingfisher. First investment by a foreign carrier in a domestic airline.

Missing ownership papers has stymied AIs plan to rake in funds by monetising 106 properties AI currently has a debt of Rs43000cr. Raising Rs500cr over the next 10 years by way of asset monetisation is part of the Airlines restructuring plan.

Shipping ministry to award 25 projects worth Rs11000cr

This will increase cargo handling capacity of ports by 250mn tonne. Approached Finance ministry to revice the subsidy given to the shipbuilding industry. Port projects to be awarded : i. Construction of a mega container terminal in chennai. ii. 2nd dock at the Haldia Port.
