 Serving as the Career Development Consultant on a part time
basis for the Spokes program this past year has been
extremely rewarding. Providing others with the skills and
encouragement needed to take a step further in their lives is
fulfilling to me personally.

 The challenges individuals face can be overwhelming, but by

working as part of a team with the Instructors, DHHR
caseworkers, and community providers we can help lead the
adults we serve to a more successful life.

 My experience in Social Work has been more beneficial than I

anticipated. Actively involving each individual in overcoming
not only unemployment but other personal barriers that hold
them back from success has been a great challenge. Seeing
people realize they can move forward whether it is finding
that job or committing to furthering their education assures
me I am in the best career for me.
Cover Letter ~ Skills
 I have established a successful reputation in our
community through the positions I have held in the past.
This has helped me greatly when I meet with agency
human resource personnel on behalf of our students.
During a recent job fair, I was asked to “keep them
coming.” This meant to me that our students have
succeeded in the jobs they landed through participation
in the Spokes program.

 My interpersonal and communication skills, technology
and public relations experience make me a successful
candidate for this position. You can contact me for a
personal interview by calling 233-1593. Thank you for
your time and consideration.
