BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CRIMINOLOGY (B.S.CRIM)


PHILOSOPHY:
The peace, stability and orderliness of the society are concerns eminent to the development and progress of the nation. The various sectors join hands in combating action that endanger the safety and security of the individual person. Aklan Catholic College upholds all efforts toward the prevention, maintenance and fair and just solution of crime to ensure a sound, satisfied and secured community through its academic program the BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CRIMINOLOGY.

GOALS:
1. Provide the local and national community with values-oriented and professionally competent graduates committed to uphold the rule of law and protection of righteous individual. 2. Pursue quality and excellence in criminology education through highly qualified and dedicated faculty, modern instruction, functional and usable facilities and close networking with concerned government and non-government organization.

The Bachelor of Science in Criminology (B.S.Crim.) is designed to equip the students with:
1. Competence in the various fields of Criminalistics, Criminal Sociology, Criminal Law and Procedure, Law Enforcement Administration, Correctional Administration, Ethics and Community Relations and Defensive Tactics. 2. Adequate proficiency and technical knowledge with regards in the field of Criminalistics such as: Police Photography, Dactyloscopy, Questioned Document Examinations, Polygraphy, Ballistics, Forensic Science and Toxicology.

3. Awareness of the crime problems including knowledge of causal theories, and the implications of crime statistics.

4. Scientific knowledge and skills to investigate analyze and preserve physical evidence relating to the commission of crime, as well as to identify and present the same in court. 5. Adequate knowledge of the organization and operation of law enforcement agencies in the process of identifying and apprehending law violators and bringing them under the operation of the Criminal Justice System.

General Rules and Regulations

All the Rules and Regulations of the Criminology Department shall be followed at all times inside the school. Failure to abide to the rules and regulations will be subjected to: 1st Offense Reprimand 2nd Offense Reminders of 50 Push-up for boys or 50 Pumping for girls

1.) See to it that you enroll all the subject in your curriculum. 2.) You must comply all your INC grade. 3.) Comply all the pre-requisite subjects. 4.) Failure to do so, ARE NOT ALLOW TO ENROLL /TAKE PRACTICUM 1 &2 subject. 5.) Meaning if you cannot comply all the requirements , YOU CANNOT GRADUATE.
