Nepal Red Cross Society

Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) came into being in 1963. It was recognized by the ICRC in 1964 and affiliated to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in the same year. NRCS has, over the years, grown to be the largest humanitarian organization in Nepal.

Red Cross in Medical Schools

Medical schools produce health workers. Red cross develops in them the feeling of humanity and voluntary service which in Todays world is lacking. Medical Schools (Hospitals) knows the actual sufferer who cant afford their treatment. Red cross can be a way to give their smile back to them.

Principles of Red Cross

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Humanity -dfgjtf_ Impartiality -lgikIftf_ Neutrality -t6:ytf_ Independence -:jflwgtf_ Voluntary Service -P]lR5s ;]jf_ Unity -Pstf_ Universality -ljZjAofkstf_

Humanity
To eliminate havoc completely, if not possible reduce its sufferings. Havoc means lack of any one among food, clothing, shelter, education and health. Accident

Impartiality
Do not discriminate in any basis Red cross do not have any caste, any religion and any political beliefs, it respects the feeling of all. It helps people in need, doesnt matter where he lives, what he believes. Help on the priority of need not on the priority of relation.

Neutrality
Not to find the cause of debate and rivalry, not to judge what is right and what is wrong. That what makes organization. Red Cross a familiar

Independence
Not bound by other organisations, do not depend on others. It makes its own rules, regulations and working procedures. Every volunteers should help needy as per the basic principles.

Voluntary Service
If somebody helps others due to themselves, not by others pressure, it is voluntary service. A good volunteer should use his min. 5 minutes in others help each day. To help others, there is no need of post. We never expect for outcomes, it matters how others are benefitted from us. We became member by our own interest and shouldnt expect for any profit and shouldnt quit it, if you do so you are not gonna be a good volunteer.

Unity
To cooperate with each other having common ideology, principle and beliefs. So there is only one Red Cross Society in one country only one Red Cross Circle in one institution (1 NYRC-CMC in CMC) The field of work of NYRC-CMC is whole college.

Universality
Present all over the world Where there lives human, there comes havoc and there needs Red Cross. All have equal respect in Red Cross and its our duty to help others wherever we be. 188 national societies are recognized by ICRC till date.
