What do you think of this situation? Do you think it is fair? Can the police take actions in such a manner? What happened to the died person and the other injured

people ? Where is,

EQUITY LIBERTY DEMOCRACY And the biggest problem is those employees HUMAN RIGHTS..?

What meant by Human right? Human right means that the essential conditions to spend the good life. Constitution is the supreme law of the country. Therefore 1978 constitution is the supreme law of Sri Lanka. in constitution chapter 3 under 14 sentence mentioned about human rights.

We can classify Rights as following.

Rights

Natural

legal

Moral

Fundamental

Political

Civil/social

Also in constitution chapter 3 till 10 to 14 sentences mentioned about Fundamental rights

CHAPTER III FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS

10.Freedom of thought, conscience and religion. 11.Freedom from torture. 12. Right to equality. 13. Freedom from arbitrary arrest, detention and

punishment, and prohibition of retroactive penal legislation. 14. Freedom of Speech, assembly, association, movement, &c.

Sri lanka is a democratic country. All the citizens who live

in a democratic country should have to freedom to speech, assembly, association and movement. but in this case, we could see a clear violation of the rights. But the key point in here is, if this happens to any powerful person in the country such as a MP, son of a wealthy person etc. what could be the result? That is why we say according to the modern political environment, we have to find a new definition for Democracy.

Switzerland is the most democratic country. If this

situation happened in Switzerland definitely will be get a chance to public openion.there is a saying that Discussion is the life blood of democracy. but that day employees were not allowed to discuss. Government also accepted that police has been make decissions obstinately. public welfare must be the main purpose of a country.when government taking actions to public welfare peoples should not be punnished.

Now lets try to summarize the end result of this incident, Roshan chanaka has lost his life.In other words his right to live has

been violated The government cancelled the Private sector pension scheme. Most of the fundamental rights were breached. The sovereignty of law was doubtful. In conclusion it is clear the fact that the government had neglected the importance of the employees who contribute a lot towards the states GDP. And this can also negatively affect the globally accepted concept of Democracy.
Dear friends, we just told you about an incident which had already happened ..Be aware Tomorrow it can be the breach of your right too..
