1.Select the frequency band in shifter and apply. 2.

If shifter option is not highlighting check the IDU to ODU connectivity and if not resolved change the ODU.

Alarm: Internal Communication Failure.


1.Check the IF connectors.
2.Check the IF cable continuity. 3.Check whether the ODU is detecting or Not. 4.Change the ODU.

Alarm: LOSS OF FRAME(LOF)


Try to format the Flash card and reconfigure the link

(where the alarm is appearing). Try to reset the link at both the ends two to three times for at least 10 minutes. Change the ODU at Local end (where the alarm is appearing).

Alarm: Demodulator Fail(Dem Fail)


Check both the ends configuration is same.
Check that both the ends antenna is properly locked. Bring down the Receive level as per LB.(If receive level

is in 80s & 90s also dem fail appears). Check for any Interference.

Alarm: High BER


Check the media connected to ALU MW is not having

any Errors. Bring down the Receive level as per LB.(If receive level is in 80s & 90s also HIGH BER appears). Change the ODU.

Alarm: TX Fail
This alarm will appear when the ODU is not

transmitting the power to its maximum.ODU is partially Faulty and it is not service effecting. We cant get the receive level as per LB as ODU is not transmitting up to its maximum. Change the ODU.

Alarm: Rx Fail
Check Tx mute is Off.
Check Tx power is given as per LB. Check Connectivity between IDU to ODU is ok. Check LOS(Line of Sight) is ok. Align both the Antennas as per its azimuth(Degree) in

LB and Lock. Change the ODU.

Alarm: Replaceble unit mismatch.


Check whether the Alarm is appearing on IDU or

ODU channel. IF alarm appearing on ODU channel replace ODU. IF alarm appearing on IDU channel replace IDU.

T1 LOS(Loss of Signal)
The E1 electrical ports may be unframed and the ports

are free and are not used. May be the service connecting the E1 is down(Example BTS). Replace the E1 cable. Check the E1 cable socket or pins in the IDU.
