Ivoclar Vivadents patented lithium disilicate material is truly a revolution for the dental industry. Never before has a material been able to combine high strength, high esthetics and ease of use into one product, until now.
IPS e.max lithium disilicate material exhibit superior durability featuring 360400 MPa of flexural strength. When fabricated to full-contour, the monolithic structure is the most robust ceramic crown tested to date.
360-400 MPa
of flexural strength.
- Lithium disilicate combines high strength and high esthetics - Broad indication range because of the high strength of 360-400 MPa - depending upon on the indication Lithium disilicate offers flexibility when it comes to cementation - Various translucency levels and a comprehensive shade range allow versatile esthetic options
Objective: To evaluate the effect of on mouth-motion-step-stress-fatigue on reliability and failure modes of monolithic lithium disilicate full crowns (IPS e.max CAD) and to compare these results with hand-layer veneered Y-TZP based crowns (IPS e.max ZirCAD/Ceram).

Shade Taking
Optimum integration in the oral cavity of the patient is the prerequisite for a true-to-nature all-ceramic restoration. The overall esthetic result of an all-ceramic restoration is influenced by the following factors:
LOW TRANSLUCENCY
Contrast ratio %
MEDIUM OPACITY
Layering technique
HIGH OPACITY
IPS e.max lithium disilicate (LS2) offers esthetic options regardless of fabrication technique. Lithium disilicate is available in 16 A-D shades and 4 bleach shades with 4 translucencies to choose from for creating exceptional true-to-nature restorations.

Inlays, Onlays, partial crowns adhesive Anterior/posterior crowns adhesive, self-adhesive or conventional
CUSTOMER BENEFITS
Conventional/self-adhesive cementable all-ceramic crown Cost-conscious and high-end aesthetics possible depending on the processing technique The fastest CAD/CAM all-ceramic from scanning to the completed crown in 1 hour Easy handling opens up new target groups
- Ideally suitable for indications, that require high strength, such as anterior and posterior (widespan) bridges - frameworks are milled to contour approximately 20-25% larger than required and subsequently sintered. At this, they shrink to their final size and obtain their typical, high fracture toughness. - Finally IPS e.max ZirCAD frameworks are conventionally veneered using the IPS e.max Ceram layering ceramic or pressed over using the IPS e.max ZirPress fluorapatite ingots.
Product information High performance all-ceramic for dental applications (>900 MPa) Excellent biocompatibility and low heat conductivity Delicate framework design adhesive, self-adhesive or conventional cementation Due to its excellent final strength, the material is capable of fulfilling the clinical requirements in the posterior region (bridges) by withstanding the high chewing forces in that area.
Indications
Up to 12-unit bridge frameworks for anterior and posterior regions Crown copings in the anterior and posterior Inlay-retained bridge frameworks Primary telescope crowns Implant superstructures (single tooth and bridge frameworks)

Multi-Unit Bridges
Layer thicknesses
- The IPS e.max ZirCAD framework material is the high-strength component of your restoration and must always be given a design that supports the overall shape of the restoration and the cusps. - In large preparations, the excess available space must be compensated by the corresponding dimensions of the high-strength IPS e.max ZirCAD component and not by the pressed-on or layered-on materials. - The following minimum thicknesses have to be observed:
from inLab Software 3D V 3.60 long span frameworks (> 5 units) stack milling
Use the one-piece milling tools and the manual bloc chuck to process the large blocks.
Place the framework in the firing sagger either on the sinter support structure or with the occlusal surface facing down.
For long-span bridge frameworks (> 5 bridge units), the following supplementary/different working steps have to be observed. Finishing and Preparation for sintering
after stack milling, the frameworks must be separated very carefully observe the following sequence when separating:
1. Connection at the outermost end 2. Attachment point to the bloc 3. Attachment point to the bloc 4. Individual units from each other
Single-tooth frameworks as well as smaller bridges frameworks are carefully separated from each other with a diamond Do not separate long-span bridge frameworks from the sinter support structure.
Sintering process
SINTERING ZrO2 CROWNS IN JUST 90 MINUTES Short sintering process saves a lot of time: approx. 90 minutes instead of 5-8 hours for a single-unit framework
More efficiency, because crowns and bridges on ZrO2 base structures can now be fabricated in one working day.
Sinterprozess
short sintering times the time-saving sintering process has a positive effect on the production costs
(less energy is consumed power Saving Technology)
