 Graduate with 3.0 weighted GPA in the 13 core units.

 4 years English
 3 years Math
 3 years Natural Science
 3 year Social Science
 *Know what math for STEM majors

 OR, graduate with 13 core units completed and a 22 ACT (composite)


or 1040 SAT (critical reading plus math) or hold an Advanced
Diploma.

Applying to UNLV

Get started by submitting the following:


 Application (apply online at unlv.edu/admissions)
 Official transcripts in a sealed envelope from your school (CCSD are
electronic)
 A copy of your 12th grade schedule
 ACT and/or SAT scores
 Immunization records

 Submit EARLY (Late September/Early October)


Paying for College

 It is an investment….not an expense
 There is a lot of aid available – grants, scholarships, loans, student employment
 Admissions counselors can help
 Don’t “bank” on receiving scholarships
 Nevada has excellent resources to help – but you must do well in school
 Loans – be familiar with them well ahead of applying to college

 Complete the FAFSA online at fafsa.ed.gov


 finaid.unlv.edu - loans, grants, and other federal student aid.

 Scholarships Complete the scholarship portion of the admission


application as you are completing the other portions of the application.
You cannot return to the application once it has been submitted.
Scholarships are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Scholarship
 Eligibility
• Have a 3.25 overall unweighted or weighted high school GPA. Graduate from a Nevada
high school.
•Four years of English, four years of math, three years of natural science, and three years
of social science.
•Live in Nevada for two of your high school years
•You will be contacted by the Nevada Treasurers Office to activate your award. Visit
nevadatreasurer.gov for more information. Funds up to $960 per semester.
