The description is about the verb before . If the verb phrase

is understood, the V.O. part can be omitted.

In this structure, you can always omit the first verb.

When negating the sentence, the negation should be in the description part.

Even if the question is about an action occurred before, we do NOT use to indicate the action occurred.

This pattern is used to describe or inquire about the time, the place,

the manner, or the initiator of an action that we know already


happened. In other words, this pattern is used to add or ask for more details about a basic fact you already knew. Usually, is at the end of the sentence, but when describing or inquiring about the place, is preferred to be put before the O.

This pattern cannot be used together with verb completion .
