Biography:- Sh. Brij Mohan Khaitan was born on August 14,1927. He was born to , Gouri Prasad his father & Parmesh Wari Devi his mother.
He studied at the reputed St. Xaviers School. He has done his Bachelors degree in B.Com

Family History
Brij Mohans grandfather was superintendent in Rajasthan. In 1880s he moved to Bihar, he had seven sons, three of whom became barrister. The most famous of the seven was Prasad, a consultant to the Birla's and a member of the Assembly, which drafted the constitution. The misfit in this family of intellectuals was Brij Mohans father, Gauri Prasad.

Business Life
Brij Mohan Khaitan is a chairman of Eveready Industries & McLeod Russell. McLeod Russell is the worlds largest Tea plantation company.

 It produces over 70 million kilos high quality Tea from its 53 tea estates in Assam and West Bengal. The companys Tea business directly employs 1,04,063 people, large number of whom women

Eveready Industries India Ltd.[EIIL](previously known as union carbide India ltd.) is the flagship company of Brij Mohan Khaitans group. The Brand Eveready has been present in India since 1905
EIIL is Indias largest selling brand of Dry cell Batteries and flashlight.

SUCCESS
In 2005, EIIL celebrates its 100 Anniversary in India .That same year, EIIL separated its bulk Tea business and Demerged McLeod Russell. EIIL also acquired the ailing B.P.l soft energy system in 2005

nearly 3000 people and ultimately causing at least 15000 22000 total deaths )

1996: McLeod Russell(India) Ltd. Merged with EIIL.

 2005: Brand Eveready is 100 years old 2009: EIIL acquires controlling stake in uniross SA of France, which is leading rechargeable Batteries manufacturer

Mr. Brij Mohan Khaitan is non executive chairman of the board of McLeod Russell India Ltd. In 1973 he was elected president of the Indian chambers of commerce and was also the president of international chambers of commerce Indian national committee during 1986 1987

 In 1985, he was elected companion of the Institute of Management. In 1988, he was elected as a fellow of Institute of Directors, UK. Mr. Khaitan served as Director of Philips Carbon Black until February 11,2011. Khaitan was also made a member of Tea advisory committee which was set in 1997 by the govt.

Conclusion
I have chosen this topic because, from past 4 decades KHAITAN name is associated with fans. No one knows that he has his contributions in other business too. I also didnt even know about this until I worked on this topic. Success doesn't lie in valuing someone , but it lies to be valued by Someone
