TRACKING

What is Tracking in CCM??


The task of the tracking system is to track - The dummy bar during dummy bar insertion (dummy bar insert mode)

- The dummy bar and hot strand during the casting process (casting mode)

- The Slab tail (tail-out mode)

- The Sarclad Machine during RC Insert and Roll Checker Mode.

Calculation Of Track Length Delta Count


Consider an Example of Segment 05 as Master. Encoder Pulse Per Second == 4096 (Constant Value) Gear Factor Roll Diameter == 359 == 290

Count Value from Encoder == X Count Delta Count for Segment == (PI x Roll Dia x X Count) / (4096 x Gear Factor)

HSC SYSTEM
Segment #3 to #10 will have pairs of rolls mounted to the top and bottom frame. The segments are equipped each with a hydraulically adjustable and electrically driven top pinch roll. Four clamping cylinders are installed on the top frame. These cylinders can open the segment or close the segment pressing on spacers which define the gap necessary for the casting process.

PINCH ROLL SYSTEM


Pinch rolls are located in an assembly called the withdrawal and straightening machine. All the pinch rolls are driven. The pinch rolls provide the necessary pressure to insert the dummy bar prior to casting, to withdraw the dummy bar during the start of casting and to withdraw the cast product.

During Dummy Bar Insertion Process
When the Dummy bar reaches to Pinch roll 10 at that time the Pinch roll get down and the Master is 10 and continue to insert in strand. Now when the dummy bar reached to Segment no 09 then the
master Will be 09 at 15482

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FOR PRA AND HSC

DESCRIPTION OF THE CLAMPING


Lifting : The dummy bar pressure is given to the rod-side of the cylinders. The pressure monitoring on the piston-side indicates the lifted position. Dummy Bar : The dummy bar pressure is given to the piston-side of the cylinders. The pressure monitoring on the rod-side indicates the lowered position with dummy bar pressure. Hot Strand Pressure : The hot strand pressure is given to the piston-side of the cylinders. The pressure monitoring on the rod-side indicates the lowered position with hot strand pressure.

Lowering: The rod side and the piston-side of the cylinders are connected. The Pinch roll is lowered due to its own weight. This mode is used after cast start.
Pressure Less: The rod side and the piston-side of the cylinders are connected to the tank line.

PRA AND HSC OPERATION

DB Disconnection

At Cast Track of 26000 mm the DB Bar Disconnection Valve got On .

FES Interlock with Tracking

At Cast Track of 26000 mm the FES will Start Automatically.

EMS Interlock with Tracking

At Cast Track of 6000 EMS got ON and at Tail Out Track of 1100 mm EMS Got OFF Automatically.

TRACKING IN HMO

At Tail Out Tracking of 1000mm the HMO automatically got OFF during Tail Out.

TRACKING FOR TORCH CUTTING MACHINE

TCM GOT DOWN FOR FIRST CUT AT A CAST LENGTH OF 33500 MM.

SCW TRACKING

Except for these all tracking system there is another tracking for Spray cooling valves during Casting and Tail-out and Roll Checker.
