1. FORMATION OF THE GROUP:


Involves 3 steps as listed above

a) Clients are made aware about the group by making announcements and putting posters. b) Screening & Selecting Group Members. Heterogeneous/Homogenous Group setting Size of a group

c) Briefing of the Group Plan, Goals & Ethics. examples: CONFIDENTIALITY All group members are required to maintain confidentiality.

Members agree not to talk about the group outside of the


therapy group session. This ensures the privacy of group members. RESPECT All group members are required to respect all other group members at all times.

2. initial STAGE: ORIENTATION & EXPLORATION


Determine: Structure of the group Getting inform and explore the members anticipation level How the group function Define own objectives Clarify expectations

3. TRANSITION STAGE
Involve building relationship and bonding kejekitan within members.

However, it is a complicated phase


where the members deal with their

anxiety, resistance and disagreement.


Moreover, the leader helps them deal and work with their shortcomings or

weaknesses.

4. WORKING STAGE
Dealing with cohesion & productivity. The members develop better cohesiveness which they develop a sense of belonging to the group. In-depth exploration of the issues and strongly focus on bringing expected changes in behaviour.

5. FINAL STAGE (TERMINATION)


Includes consolidation & termination. They summarizing, organizing the loose ends and integrating the group experience. They get insights and learning and the practical use of that learning.

6. FOLLOW-UP SESSION
They are initiated after the termination of main
counselling sessions.

The dynamics in the group: Power or the forces in the social unit that can move the physical, social and feelings existing in the group and is usually expressed in terms of behaviour.
