INTRODUCTION
Employee satisfaction is the terminology used to describe whether

employees are happy and contented and fulfilling their desires and needs at work.
Scholars and human resource professionals generally make a distinction

between affective job satisfaction and cognitive job satisfaction.


Some theories related to job satisfaction are,

Hawthorne studies Maslows hierarchy of needs Two factor theory Equity theory Discrepancy theory

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY:


PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
o To study the job satisfaction level of employees in Angels family stop (p) ltd. SECONDARY OBJECTIVE:

o To analyze the current satisfaction level of the employees towards rewards and incentives.
o To determine the level of satisfaction of employees with the working environment.

o To survey employee opinion on motivation and recognition.

COMPANY PROFILE:
In early 1980s, Chairman of angels family stop (p) ltd and his friend started

the business as a wholesalers naming the company Angels cosmetics and novelties.
In 1982, Mr.suresh Kumar, Chairman, started the Retail shop as a sole

proprietor.

LITERATURE SURVEY:
Title: Job satisfaction Year: December 2011 Author: Brikend Aziri
ABSTRACT: Job satisfaction represents one of the most complex areas facing todays managers when it comes to managing their employees. Many studies have demonstrated an unusually large impact on the job satisfaction on the motivation of workers, while the level of motivation has an impact on productivity, and hence also on performance of business organizations. Unfortunately, in our region, job satisfaction has not still received the proper attention from neither scholars nor managers of various business organizations.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research Design: Descriptive research design
Sampling : Non-probability sampling

(Convenience sampling)
Sample size: 30 Data collection: Primary and Secondary data

Tools used: 1) Simple percentage

2) Weighted average method 3) Chi-Square test

ANALYSIS
The weighted average method shows that respondents are highly satisfied

with their working environment and dissatisfied with the working hours and work load.
It is found that there is no significant relationship between the experience

and level of job satisfaction.


It is found that there is no significant relationship between the gender and

level of job satisfaction.

FINDINGS:
Most of the respondents are in the age group of 18-24 and only few are above 35 years of age.
Many of the respondents get a monthly income of more than Rs7000 and only few of them earn in the range of Rs3000-5000.

Majority of respondents have an experience of 1-5 years.


Most of the respondents are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with their salary and some of the respondents are highly dissatisfied with their salary. Majority of the respondents are satisfied and neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with the bonus and incentives they get. Majority of the respondents agree that they receive their salary and other allowances on time.

Most of the respondents enjoy coming to work every day and performing their best.
Majority of the respondents agree that they have been recognized when they perform a good job and some of the respondents disagree. Most of the respondents feel that they have been encouraged and motivated when

they come up with innovative ideas.


Most of the respondents feel that there exists a proper communication in the organization and very few disagree. Equal number of respondents agrees and disagrees to the point of empowerment. Majority of the respondents have an overall job satisfaction.

SUGGESTIONS:
Employees feel that they dont receive adequate salary and bonus from the

organization. So the organization should provide good compensation to the employees to give better satisfactions.
Employees are not convenient with the working hours. Thus the management

must take initiatives to change the working hours of the organization.


The company should provide transport facility to the employees as some of the

employees are residing in a distant area.


Employees in the administrative department feel that they have too much of

work to do. Thus the management can recruit adequate number of employees to share the work.

CONCLUSION:
Majority of the employees are overall satisfied with their job. They are highly satisfied with the work culture and the environment in which they work.
The organization has to take care on the areas of salary, working hours and work load. Further from this survey, the organization will be benefited and with the help of the recommendations given, the organization can improve its functioning and the overall employee satisfaction level as well as its performance will increase.
