Who are you?

Body or Soul?
If you could see yourself This is what you would look like

The Soul

This is You

A tiny star, a minute point of invisible luminous non-physical energy, located in the center of the forehead and known as the third eye. An eternal being that will never die so no fear of death. A precious point of conscious, blissful, light, a spiritual being interacting through the body. The being that thinks, remembers and decides. The point where every emotion is born. The eternal source of life and life's experiences. The seat of self-esteem and self-respect.

I am a soul . . .
Allow yourself to experiment. For a few moments think of yourself as a tiny star of pure living light the light of the energy of consciousness.

Think of yourself as a soul, the being located in the center of the forehead, behind the windows of the eyes. When you are in this awareness, you are soul conscious. This is your spiritual identity.

. . . All souls are considered to be brothers, children of one Father.

Since the soul is neutral or without gender . . . We say brotherhood of mankind

Atom and Atma (Soul)

The atom is seen to be a point-source of energy,

and different energy levels and vibrations between neighboring atoms give the appearance of form, color and heat. refers to the conscious energy of the human as being an indivisible and indestructible point of non-physical light. light and heat, is formed of these point-sources of physical energy. The most beautiful scene in nature is merely a pattern of energy waves and vibrations.

The Hindi word atma means self or soul and

The entire material world of forms and colors,

Atom and Atma (Soul) Contd

The human body is a complex pattern of physical

energies, a combination of atoms. However marvelous the machine of the body may be, it is the presence of the soul which makes it function. atoms (including that of the body) is that while souls can exercise choice of their movements, where to go and when to go somewhere, atoms cannot exercise such choice.

One of the basic differences between souls and

In a way you could say that a soul is a point-

source of spiritual energy that has awareness of its own existence. Atoms do not. Soul is conscious and the body of atoms is not.

The Soul Consists of Three Faculties :

Mind Intellect Impressions

Or (Man, Buddhi & Sanskars)
These 3 are actually the same energy functioning on different but closely connected levels

The Mind

With the power of the mind, one imagines, thinks and forms ideas. Our thoughts are created in the mind. The thought process is the basis of all emotions, desires and sensations.

It is through the mind that, in an instant, thoughts can reach anywhere, a memory can be relived and the feeling of happiness or sadness experienced.
The mind should not be confused with the heart, a physical organ that maintains blood circulation.

The Intellect

Thoughts are processed and interpreted by the intellect. This is the faculty which understands.

The capacity to understand is perhaps the single most crucial ability of the soul. With the deepening and broadening of the intellect, clear understanding of anything is possible.
The intellect reasons, memorizes, discriminates and makes decisions. The intellect, which is non-physical, should not be confused with the physical brain, as the brain is the physical focus of the nervous system and acts as the control panel of the soul and the means for its expression.

The Impressions or Sub-conscious Mind

Any action once performed leaves an impression on the soul. Habits, tendencies, temperaments and, personality traits are all impressions embedded in the soul as a result of every action performed. These impressions in turn stimulate the mind and influence the quality of thought (see anatomy of consciousness diagram).

The most fundamental feature of a soul, the personality, is determined by its impressions, the reservoir which we draw upon, often subconsciously, as a source of thoughts and actions.

Anatomy of Consciousness Cyclic pattern of Mind, Intellect & Impressions or Sub-conscious Mind
Conscious Mind
thoughts emotions desires

Sub-conscious Mind
Memories, personality, impressions, instincts, habits

Intellect
Judgment discernment decision

An Experiment of The Cyclic Process

Purposely create a thought of a special food you enjoy eating. keep thinking of this food.check what happens.you will notice the emotions of hunger begins and your mouth will salivate.then check what happens next.you are now experiencing a desire to have it. now check what happens next.you start a judging process whether you could have it or not.whether you have the money and time etc.let us presume that you do have the money and time to have this special food. what happens next?. you can now safely discern that it is realistic to have it and you make a quick decision to go buy or cook this food for yourself.after getting it you experience joy and satisfaction while eating..this experience forms an impression or memory on the soul.what happens next?.... tomorrow you are able to remember this experience from the subconscious mind as a memory. this memory then triggers another thought to have the same experience all over again. so lets assume you go and have this same food and the same enjoyable experience again.what happens next?....the initial impression is now reinforced and has now become a habit.any action when performed more than once becomes a habit within the personality or subconscious of the soul. This cyclic pattern goes on as a natural process within the three faculties of the soul.

Creating A New Cyclic Pattern

I am able to break into the cyclic pattern of my consciousness at the thought level. By changing negative thoughts into positive ones, I can create new cycles of healthy and positive patterns for myself.

Experiencing the Consciousness of the Soul

I the eternal and immortal soul..a tiny star of pure light.. the sacred core of my being..remembers who I am.and develops the consciousness of the soul..my non-physical being..I am now able to use my body with wisdom..seeing everything with the third eye of knowledge .my sense of identity is now derived from the inherent worth of the soul.not the limited impermanent body..for true worth transcends all that is physical. . I now relate to all others as my brother soul ..there is no barrier of religion..profession..race..gender ..age .....rich or poor..famous or unknown..ill or healthy .. weak or strong.
