Body or Soul?
If you could see yourself This is what you would look like
The Soul
This is You
A tiny star, a minute point of invisible luminous non-physical energy, located in the center of the forehead and known as the third eye. An eternal being that will never die so no fear of death. A precious point of conscious, blissful, light, a spiritual being interacting through the body. The being that thinks, remembers and decides. The point where every emotion is born. The eternal source of life and life's experiences. The seat of self-esteem and self-respect.
I am a soul . . .
Allow yourself to experiment. For a few moments think of yourself as a tiny star of pure living light the light of the energy of consciousness.
Think of yourself as a soul, the being located in the center of the forehead, behind the windows of the eyes. When you are in this awareness, you are soul conscious. This is your spiritual identity.
and different energy levels and vibrations between neighboring atoms give the appearance of form, color and heat. refers to the conscious energy of the human as being an indivisible and indestructible point of non-physical light. light and heat, is formed of these point-sources of physical energy. The most beautiful scene in nature is merely a pattern of energy waves and vibrations.
energies, a combination of atoms. However marvelous the machine of the body may be, it is the presence of the soul which makes it function. atoms (including that of the body) is that while souls can exercise choice of their movements, where to go and when to go somewhere, atoms cannot exercise such choice.
source of spiritual energy that has awareness of its own existence. Atoms do not. Soul is conscious and the body of atoms is not.
The Mind
With the power of the mind, one imagines, thinks and forms ideas. Our thoughts are created in the mind. The thought process is the basis of all emotions, desires and sensations.
It is through the mind that, in an instant, thoughts can reach anywhere, a memory can be relived and the feeling of happiness or sadness experienced.
The mind should not be confused with the heart, a physical organ that maintains blood circulation.
The Intellect
Thoughts are processed and interpreted by the intellect. This is the faculty which understands.
The capacity to understand is perhaps the single most crucial ability of the soul. With the deepening and broadening of the intellect, clear understanding of anything is possible.
The intellect reasons, memorizes, discriminates and makes decisions. The intellect, which is non-physical, should not be confused with the physical brain, as the brain is the physical focus of the nervous system and acts as the control panel of the soul and the means for its expression.
Any action once performed leaves an impression on the soul. Habits, tendencies, temperaments and, personality traits are all impressions embedded in the soul as a result of every action performed. These impressions in turn stimulate the mind and influence the quality of thought (see anatomy of consciousness diagram).
The most fundamental feature of a soul, the personality, is determined by its impressions, the reservoir which we draw upon, often subconsciously, as a source of thoughts and actions.
