Positive Coaching Alliance


Founded by Jim Thompson in 1998. Non-profit organization started in Stanford.
Goal: bring fun back to youth sports.

40 million kids play youth sports.


70% stop by age 13.

Kids in sports do better academically while in sports.

Jackson and Thompson worked together since organization was founded. Jackson leads clinics for youth. Became the new spokesman in 2002. Players from all NBA teams volunteer at clinics along with Jackson.
