Decision Support System For Managing Educational Capacity Utilization

By Dharmil Shah Sagar Panchal Sanjay Dangar

Abstract
Academic workload management distributes teaching resources to support the educational framework adequately. It presents a methodology for educational capacity and planning its distribution and utilization. The system integrates input data from relevant sources into an autonomous data warehouse.

Introduction
Decision-making in the field of academic planning involves extensive analysis of large data volumes originating from multiple systems. This work presents a methodology for assessing educational capacity and planning its distribution and utilization.

Problem Statement
Decision-making is very necessary in the field of academic planning. It involves extensive analysis of large data volumes. Many new technology application areas evolving in various field. If not managed properly, new specializations and programs will not be adequately supported.

Sometimes due to handling of such large amount of data, all the resources may not be efficiently utilized. There may be partial allotment of a particular subject to a faculty because of favoritism. Academic workload once prepared becomes difficult to be modified.

Proposed System
With the many new technology application areas evolving from the various domains of engineering, deans and department chairs must ensure that new specializations and programs are adequately supported. The proposed system is concerned with distributing teaching resources to support the universitys educational framework adequately.

Each department maintains separate server which has detailed information about this department. This system distributes teaching resources to support the universitys educational framework adequately. This software has a large variety of scope in educational fields. It can be used in Universities and Institutes managing huge data regarding subjects.

System Requirements

Hardware
Individual Computer System

Software
VB.Net Microsoft SQL

Minimum Pentium IV Processor

Minimum RAM: 512 Mb

Applications
It reduces the extensive workload of the teachers. It allocates the important subjects to more experienced teachers. Maintains the important data of the faculty regarding time table. Proper utilization of resources. Effectively generates time table. It can be widely used in Educational Institutes.
