Brief Overview
Retail is the sale of goods and services from individuals or

businesses to the end-user. Retailers are part of an integrated system called the supply chain.

We have chosen Croma as a retail sector in order to

survey . What people preference for shopping is it online or retail store? Why do retail store? And why do online shopping?

Introduction of Croma
First store of Croma came into existence in October 2006

in Mumbai.

They offer our customers over 6000 products across

eight categories in a world.

The sales staff is also trained to understand the customer

needs.

The highly competitive electronic retail market demands a

communication differentiator. The brand strategy of Croma is "We won't sell, we help you buy".

Customers can shop for 6000 products across eight categories in a world-class ambience.

The store displays are organized to provide customer in

selecting the right kind of products fitting their present and future usage.
Indian consumer goods market is expected to reach $400

billion by 2013 and is expected to grow at 10-15%

Interpretation

The graphical representation of the table shows that out of the 150 Respondents, 84 use online shopping websites and 66 do not use online

shopping websites.

Limitation of the study


Small sample size. Small sample frame. Deviations in finding out the respondent. Deviation in convincing the respondent. Questionnaire preparation. This study is based on the prevailing businessmen, house wives and students preference. But the preference may change according to time, fashion, technology, development, etc.

prefer shopping electronic gadgets online websites in low range of spending i.e. mobile phones prefer retail stores for confirming their shopping at times ofmore spending, due to the element of being able to feel the product.

Recommendation
We recommend that websites to follow a policy to maintain trust with

their target market to retain the same and attract more of them through promotion whereas retailers should indulge into E-commerce for giving fair competition
