Type

II diabetes mellitus is a disorder that is characterized by high blood glucose in context of insulin resistance and relative insulin deficiency. Data analysis; SPSS ver. 17.0, compare between groups using independence sample t test.
Method; informed consent get from patients.

HbA1c, fasting blood sugar- measured using blood test. BMI, BFP, WHR- measured using bioelectrical impedance analyzer. Control group received exercise counseling and diabetes care, as where resistance training group received both along with 04 months home based resistance exercise training.

04 months of home based resistance exercise training when included with usual diabetic care is effective on

HbA1c and body fat percentage control in type II diabetic

patients.

Although there were reduction on fasting blood sugar and

body mass index level, they were not reach significance

in training group.

No changes on waist hip ratio were observed on both groups.
