Answer questions about a piece of reading by applying Simple Present Tense.

Simple Present
The Simple Present expresses the idea that an action is repeated or usual. The action can be a habit, a hobby, a daily event, a scheduled event or something that often happens. It can also be something a person often forgets or usually does not do.

1. For repeated or regular actions in the present time period: I take the bus to the school. Sebastian sleeps eight hours.

2. For facts: The President of The USA lives in The White House. We come from Santiago.

 3. For habits: I get up at 7.30 AM They travel Argentina every day.

4. For things that are always / generally true: It rains a lot in winter. They speak English at work.

REMEMBER THESE DETAILS WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT SHE / HE / IT:

-Add S at the end of the verb in MOST of the verbs.

- Add ES at the end of the verb when it finishes in: O / SS /TCH/ CH / SH / ZZ / X - When the verb has a Y, change it into I and add ES at the end, this happens when the verb finishes in CONSONANT + Y, for example: Apply Applies / Fly Flies / Dry Dries - When the verb finishes in a VOWEL + Y, dont change the Y to I and just add an S, for example: Buy Buys / Play Plays / Say Says

1- Hello, my name is Denisse and I am a teacher. I do many different things in my job. I teach little kids and I prepare many activities for them. I work from Monday to Friday. I like my job but its very exhausting. After work, I go shopping with my friends. 2- My name is Sergio. I work as a personal trainer in a gym. I do different activities because we have a lot of members. I evaluate them, then I give them a routine. Every month, I check their progress and help them to use the different machines. 3- Hello, I am Pablo. My day begins at 6:30. I get up, take a shower and get dressed. I have breakfast and drink a cup of coffee. Then I go to the university. When I finish my morning classes, I usually have lunch at 12:00 in the cafeteria. After lunch I go to my afternoon classes. I go home at 5:00. 4- Hi, my name is Helen and I am a nurse. I am very busy at work. The most important thing I do is to help the patients to get well. I give them their medicine and talk to them about how they are.

Twenty-four-year-old Emma comes from Manchester, in the north of England, but now she doesnt live in England; She lives in the United States. Her apartment is near the beach in Santa Rosa, California. Its fantastic she says. I go swimming every morning. Emma is an actress; she lives in Los Angeles because Its near Hollywood., the home of the American film industry. I love the way of life here, she says It is a beautiful and exciting place the weather is really good it doesnt rain very much, like at home! the people are open and everyone looks so good! The only problem is that people think my accent is strangewhen I speak to taxi drivers, sometimes they dont understand me.
