(2) People-pleasing prevents my faith from growing John 5:44 (Emotional
handicap-any fear will hinder your spiritual growth)

(3)People-pleasing leads me to other sins
- Reuben agreed to sell Joseph (to please brothers)
- Aaron built a golden idol to worship (people pressure)
- Samson broke his vow to God (Girlfriends pressure)
- Peter denied knowing Jesus (What others might say)
- Pilate washed hands(Feared the disapproval of the crowd)

Pray the words of King Saul- 1 Sam 15:24 (Repent), Exodus 23:2 (bible warns
going with the crowd), Pr 1;10 (dont be tempted by bad company), 1 Cor 15:
33-34 (dont be misled)

Never allow any one else to stand in the way of your relationship with Christ

Six-Step Solution
Happiness is my choice. I dont need anyone's approval to be happy
(1) Remember that even God cant please everyone Luke 6:26

(Farmers pray for rain, children pray sunshine, some pray for snow, some dont
want one mans meat is another mans poison)

(2) Remember that I dont need anyones approval to be happy Jn 8:36
(Refocus the Son-the more important Jesus becomes in your life, the more free
you will be, Ps 27:10 Trust Him)

(3)Remember that what seems so important now is only temporary -1 John
2:17 (people pleasing-short term thinking activity)

(4)Remember that I have to please one person! Mathew 6:24, Gal 1:10,
John 5:30(Jesus as a man pleased the One who sent Him)

(5) Remember that one day I will give an account of my life to God Rom
14:12 (Jesus not ashamed to die publicly-Heb 2:11, Luke 9 :26 Have you been
ashamed of Jesus?)

(6) Remember that God shaped me to be me, not somebody else- Eph 2:10
