SECTOR

The Indian hospitality sector has been growing at a cumulative
annual growth rate of 14 percent every year.
The government's decision to introduce the electronic visa facility
(e-Visa) will give a much needed boost to inbound travel in India.
Further extension of Visa on Arrival scheme to five countries in
2011.

Five-year tax holiday for 2-,3-, and 4- star category hotels located
around UNESCO World Heritage sites (except Delhi and Mumbai).
The Ministry set up a Hospitality Development and Promotion
Board, which will monitor and facilitate hotel project
clearances/approvals.
By 2023, government collective spending are expected to increase by
USD5.7 billion
