INTRODUCTION
Pupils have to deal with many
words included unfamiliar
vocabulary.
Many experts of language
teaching methodology also
agree that playing games is a
good way to learn vocabulary.
BACKGROUND
Characteristics of games make
vocabulary learning more
effectively .
REFLECTION OF PAST TEACHING
EXPERIENCE
Pupils were active and like
to play with games.
Pupils most of the time tend
to forget or misuse new
words because only
memorizing the meaning of
the words.
The chalk and talk way of
teaching the new
vocabulary demotivate the
pupils to learn more.

participants are 24 pupils; 8
male and 16 female.

100 per cent of them are
Malay.

29 per cent of the pupils obtained
A, 63 per cent of the pupils
obtained B and 1 per cent them
obtained C.

After completing the games,
the teacher gives a
worksheet to the pupils.

Rationale :
To identify the change of the
pupils interest in language
games after the intervention.
The result as the post test.

- will be carried out to obtain information
from the pupils who had difficulties
answering the pre test.
- Will be carried out to identify the change
of their interest and motivation in learning
vocabulary.

Method of Analysis
- The data will be collected and analyse
by comparing the scores from the pre
and post test.
- The result obtained will be present in a
bar graph.
- The result of the pupils worksheet will be
recorded and tabulated in a table to
evaluate pupils performances after
implementing the intervention.
- The record of the entire interview will be
transcribed.
- The text then becomes data that are
analysed.
