8 Parts of Speech
PowerPoint Book
Lets get started.
Go to ToonDoo.com and get a free account.
Become familiar with this program.
There is a lot that you can do with it.
You are going to make a PowerPoint book that will
illustrate the 8 parts of speech.

Each page (slide) will be made first on ToonDoo, then
snipped and pasted onto a PowerPoint slide. To start,
you select a background shape.
This one
works best.
Then select a background(s).
Next, decide on one main character and several supporting
characters.
This years story theme:
Who are you?
What is your familys ethnic or cultural background?
What special activities does your family like to do?
Holidays
Sports
Music
Travel

What would you like others to know about you? Make
this positive and interesting.

.
Your Planning Sheet
1. Divide a Word document into 8 boxes; each one
represents a page (slide) for your story.
2. Make a simple story about your characters. In each box,
you will write one line of your story. Keep in mind the
background(s) and characters that you selected.

Once upon a time, a Martian
landed by the home of the
three bears.
When your simple storyline is finished, you must decide
which box will be which part of speech. There is no
specific order to the parts of speech, but you must include
all eight. Add the part of speech to each slide. You may
have to revise a sentence to get all parts of speech used.

Martian landed by the
home of the three
bears.
He carefully

finished, upload the ppt using scribd.com to the
