Brief History of the Fire Officers Faculty
The Military School of Active Officers of Ministry of
Defense;
The Active Officers School of Ministry of Interior;
Beginning with 1991 we started a new formula for the
complementary training in the technical engineering field
(four years – day courses);
Beginning with 1995 promotion, the graduated officers
were being able to obtain a fire-fighters officer license
(certificate) and, also an engineer diploma;
The curriculums and the syllabuses were upgraded and
adapted to the university authorization rules because of
the diploma recognition by the Ministry of Education and
Research and to maintain the military fire-fighters
officer’s skills after graduation.

Mission of the Fire Officers Faculty
The Fire Officers Faculty is an academic military
institution within the Police Academy “Alexandru Ioan
Cuza”
The Fire Officers Faculty assures the training and
specialization of fire officers to be professional officers
in the National System of Emergencies Situations
Management (Ministry of Administration and Interior)
Fire Officers Faculty is a superior engineering
education institution for long duration (4 years & 2
years Master Degree) with the qualification in
“installations for buildings – fire-fighters”

Main Objectives of Fire Officers Faculty
Main objectives to complaining the faculty mission are:
to assure fire-fighters training of young officers;
disaster management training;
to assure military training;
to assure technical-engineering education in
installations for constructions specialty;
to organize and to develop the scientific research in
fire protection and disaster management field;
taking part to the activity of improving and up-to-
date officers training from the National Emergencies
Management System.
