Go through the annual report of a firm. What does it state with
respect to the four decision areas of financial management
discussed in this session. Note down the critical points that
emerge in this context as they will form the basis of further
discuss in the course (MDA and the Directors report sections of
the report may be special relevance in this regard).
What reporting has the company made under the heading
corporate governance. Now find out what clause 49 issued by
SEBI says with respect to corporate governance. See whether the
issues mentioned therein have been covered in the corporate
governance disclosure. Note down the issues that emerge with
respect to corporate governance and relate to the discussion on
multiplicity of stakeholders, particularly the conflict of interest
between owners and managers.
