Impact on India
India must unveil climate targets after US-China pact
FTA is effect on Indian Trade because if they remove of trade barrier,
lowering the trade volumes for India Consequently
Political isolation: India hard stand on WTO and reluctant to join the
APEC proceeding. INDIA could face political isolation at Global Forum
Geo Political Strategy - Strengthen Pakistan empowered by China, posses
a security threat to India

Reportedly, India was invited to join the Beijing APEC gathering as an observer
but refused to participate. This makes little sense if INDIA truly wants future
membership of APEC and sees itself playing a crucial role in the Asia-Pacific
architecture.
If its strategy is to be a part of the US camp in the region, the just-concluded
deals covering the above mentioned climate change pact, military cooperation,
trade and visa agreements between Beijing and Washington clearly show that
this would be a short-sighted strategy.
If Prime minster Modi wants a greater role for India in East Asia he must engage
China with confidence while simultaneously seeking a substantial role in forums
such as the East Asia Summit. Hopefully, his ongoing three-nation tour will
provide him with a solid foundation to work along this direction
