Tasks For Finance Department

Primary responsibilities include preparing the revenue and OPEX


plan, forecasts and reporting actual figures.
The position ensures that the requests and responsibilities of the
revenue and OPEX area of finance are completed in a timely
manner.
Specific responsibilities include conducting on-going reviews of
budgets and to identify, assess and investigate budget variances.
Also responsible for maintaining pricing records in SAP after
approved by Pricing Department.
Record and reconcile all related balance sheet accounts.
Generate reports and perform analytics in preparation for monthly
meetings with Directors/Budget managers to review status of P&L
and Balance Sheet

Tasks For Finance Department

Identify and analyze variances from budget.


Provide monthly revenue reports and summary updates.
Assist directors in identifying variances and making modification
for the forecast/plan as decisions are made.
Complete weekly forecasts to project actual revenue for the
month versus the monthly plan.
Assist directors in identifying variances and making modification
for the forecast/plan.

Conclusion
Analysis depict the following observations:
Increasing trend in sales from 7619million to 8628million helped
sanofi to raise earning per share.
Significant reduction in cost of sales from 73.36% to 69.52% also
create the impact in the increment of earning per share.
There is no significant change in the operating expenses of the
organization.
Increment in the other operating Income also have a positive effect
on the earning per share of Sanofi.

Recommendations

Further reduction in cost of sale can improve the


earning per share in future
Through efficient OPEX planning company can create
positive impact on EPS.
Like in 2012 by maximizing other operating income,
there is an opportunity to increase EPS.
