Understand the fundamentals of managing
Emergency Situation
Managing and Maintaining the *Emergency
Response Team (ERT) by On-Scene Commander
(OSC), *Emergency Management Team (EMT) and
the Plans
Conduct the vulnerability assessment on various
emergency situation
Managing PRE and POST Emergency Preparedness

Tier 1 OR Level 1 - Minor Emergency
Minor incident has occurred
No threat, even to immediate vicinity
Not expected to escalate, incident is under control
or can easily be brought under control
Requires no assistance or protection action
Authorities notify but their assistance may not be
required

Tier 2 OR Level 2 - Major Emergency
A major event has occurred
Not under control and may escalate leading to
threat to life, environment, or property
No immediate threat to off-site areas
Some protective actions and assistance required;
on site evacuation, shelter in place or shutdown
may be necessary
Authorities notify and their support will be
requested
Classification of EMERGENCY
Tier 3 OR Level 3 Crisis
A crisis event has occurred
Has or is anticipated to impact near site neighbors
Protective actions will have to be implemented
Assistance will be necessary from Authorities and
external emergency services
